Environmental Policy

This statement sets out the environmental policy of Edge10 Corporation Limited, the purpose of which is to raise staff awareness and encourage a positive attitude towards the environment. We are committed to continuous improvement to reduce, re-use, re-cycle and create solutions. The main activities of the company in a modern office environment involve the use of computer systems, photocopiers and fax machines.

We are constantly seeking to improve our environmental awareness and performance by monitoring and policy review. Dave Stevinson has been appointed Environmental Officer for this task.

We conserve energy wherever possible by:

• Turning off appliances and lights when not in use.
• Setting PC’s to hibernate when not in use.
• Setting radiators one setting lower.
• Keeping doors closed.
• Using low energy light bulbs where possible.

We reduce, re-use and recycle waste by:

• Recycling waste - paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, tin and aluminium.
• Returning toner cartridges to suppliers for re-use and support charity toner appeals.
• Re-use printed paper for internal work.
• Only printing when necessary.

We purchase:

• 100% recycled paper for printing and stationary products where possible.
• Eco friendly cleaning products where possible.

We are working towards:

• Printing brochures on recycled paper
• Using recycled ‘headed paper’.
• Using recycled toilet paper and hand towels.
• Minimising paper use by storing information digitally rather than in paper files.
